Keller Timber Creek four-star running back Emeka Megwa to enroll at Washington mid-season after graduating early

Running back Emeka Megwa has made the decision to graduate from Keller Timber Creek early and enroll at Washington. Megwa left Nolan Catholic in January halfway through his junior year and enrolled at Timber Creek High School.

Megwa has not appeared in any of the first four games the Falcons have played this season. Washington Football made the announcement on their Twitter this morning via their website that Megwa would be enrolling at Washington early and will start classes on Sept. 29, after already landing in Seattle. Megwa was dealing with an injury, which ultimately led to his decison to head to Washington early.

During his high school career, Megwa rushed for a total of 3,092 yards and over 40 touchdowns. He did not play a snap his senior year, but he will bring a physical style of play to Washington. Megwa is a very talented back that will look to have an immediate impact for the Huskies. Megwa was selected to the All-State team last year and helped lead Nolan Catholic to a State championship appearance last season in TAPPS Division I. He was also selected to an All-State team his junior season as well.

Megwa held 37 offers and chose to commit to Washington over schools like Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Florida, Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State. Megwa will begin his college career early and try to learn the offense mid-season. Timber Creek is 1-3 this season after losing to Richland, Lewisville, and Rockwall Heath to start the season. District play starts next week for the Falcons as they play Keller Fossil Ridge.
